Interview of Ryan Pottinger, Regional Sales Manager (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan) at Agrauxine by Lesaffre North America, who joined the company in October 2022.

Could you tell us more about your role and your daily missions at Agrauxine by Lesaffre?

Communication is key to success.  I start my day by following up with client emails, voicemails and requests for products and information.  My goal is to meet with 2 or 3 distributors every week and go over product details, give presentations and/or meet one on one with my distributors’ clients.  Providing the most up to date product information, field scouting observations and client feedback will empower our distributors to be our biggest advocates.

Do you have in mind a contribution you are particularly proud of since you work at Agrauxine by Lesaffre?

My background in seed treating, seed treating equipment and field research has facilitated my transition to Agrauxine team.  It has provided a gateway to unlocking doors that would normally be closed.  It has afforded me the ability to help my distributors grow their client base.  However, my greatest contribution to Agrauxine is my passion for agriculture and representing products that help the farmer.  Products that deliver!

 

Can you tell us more about a specific product, range or work in progress for Agrauxine and its challenges?

The biggest challenge is making sure all our distributors fully understand our products.   All bio-logicals are not created equal. Ensuring our distributors understand and can confidently explain our products  and differentiate those products from our competition in a professional manner to their client base is the most challeging and critical aspect of my role with Agrauxine. Understanding exudes confidence, confidence grows sales.
