The Biocontrol Consortium is a public-private partnership for research, development and innovation, whose ambition is to create a French biocontrol industry and encourage farmers to use its products. This consortium is part of the Ecophyto plan to massively reduce the use of pesticides.
Bringing together the vast majority of French players, it will strengthen the links between academic research, technical institutes and industry to carry out research programs with financial support from the public authorities.
The Biocontrol Consortium already has dedicated experimentation platforms (for mildew topics - managed by IFV, biting-sucking insects - managed by CTIFL and aerial diseases of field crops - managed by ARVALIS). The first pre-competitive research programs were launched at the start of 2017.
Agrauxine wants to be part of this innovative and unifying approach to the emergence of biocontrol in France.
