What is your day-to-day role and mission at Agrauxine?
I'm in charge of sales in France, with a team of 4 people to manage (3 sales promoters and 1 technical manager) whose role is to train and support our distributors in the use of our biocontrol and biostimulation products. And I retain the role of sales promoter for the 1/4 North-East region (NB: each promoter is responsible for 1/4 of France).
Even if it's not always easy to manage on a day-to-day basis, I like this dual component of my job, with a management position and a more operational one, because it allows me to have " my head in the strategy and my boots on the ground ".
What challenges do you need to meet with your customers and partners to make Agrauxine a strategic supplier?
The 1st challenge is to promote Agrauxine, its qualities and strengths. We're the challenger, so we're not necessarily the 1st brand distributors think of, but we do have the advantage of producing our own biosolutions, so we know exactly what they're made of and how they work on plants.
In addition to the quality of our products, our added value and competitive edge also lie in the support and service we offer. Our relationship with our distributors is more that of a partner than a simple customer/supplier relationship. We help them to get to know our products and determine with them the keys to success. We provide them with a marketing dimension, particularly in the area of biostimulants, to help them sell this type of product more effectively.
Our two ranges are completely different to promote. Biocontrol products benefit from growing societal demand, which makes distributors more receptive and proactive in referencing this type of solution. In the case of biostimulants, on the other hand, it's really the distributor who makes the choice to push this type of solution. And this is where our support can make all the difference compared with our competitors.
What contributions to Agrauxine are you most proud of?
Before joining Agrauxine, I had acquired a great deal of experience in the field of biostimulation. And I'm proud to have been able to share this experience and to have established a co-development and co-construction relationship with Agrauxine's biostimulation team to help launch our range of biostimulation products.
Do you have any special memories of Agrauxine?
2 things stood out for me:
- The 1st was the fact that I felt "expected" on my 1st day at Agrauxine, thanks to my manager who had prepared my arrival and made sure that everyone knew who I was before I arrived.
- The 2nd is the enthusiasm of Agrauxinians for group activities. I'm thinking in particular of the relay marathon I took part in about 6 months after my arrival. I really appreciated the atmosphere and the benevolent side of this off-the-job event, and the fact that all of Agrauxine was represented.
