Interview with Laure COMTE, Human Resources Manager, who joined Agrauxine by Lesaffre in April 2022.
What is your day-to-day role and mission at Agrauxine?
My role is to take responsibility for the HR function of the Agrauxine Business Unit, with a strong operational aspect for France and the support of a network of local HR experts for geographical areas outside France. My role is to implement Lesaffre's Group and BU HR strategy according to the entities and populations managed. My main generalist tasks include advising operational staff (employees and managers), coordinating HR projects, monitoring the quality of labor relations, steering HR development (training, career management, etc.), supervising payroll administration and personnel management in France, and reporting.
In terms of human resources, what are the main challenges facing Agrauxine?
Agrauxine is facing growth challenges. Behind this growth lie a number of HR challenges:
- Structuring the HR function and defining a roadmap that will serve as a genuine internal communication tool.
- Supporting and training managers to align their managerial practices. It is through their speeches and actions that HR policy will be largely defined, and they will become the "backbone" of internal communication and the social climate.
- Managing labor relations. The larger the workforce, the more structured and complex the labor relations will become, and the more time we'll have to devote to them if we want to maintain a quality social dialogue.
- Employer brand development: improving the "employee experience" to retain our talent and the "candidate experience" to attract, recruit and integrate new employees.
- Payroll management.
What contributions to Agrauxine are you most proud of?
I've only been with Agrauxine for a short time, so it's hard to say, but I try to give impetus to this dynamic of structuring the HR function and supporting managers and employees on a daily basis to improve the employee experience.
Do you have any special memories of Agrauxine?
When I arrived, I was lucky enough to take part in several integration seminars: the Connect Agrauxine seminar with many employees from all over the world, and the Lesaffre group's international HR seminar with all my international HR contacts. These were really good times for bonding and getting to know one's place.
