In 2014, our collaboration with Bayer enabled us to develop ESQUIVE® WP, the first approved solution for the French market against ESCA, Black Dead Arm (BDA) and Eutypiosis. Our two companies have carried out fundamental work in understanding grapevine wood diseases and the use of the fungus Trichoderma atroviride I-1237 (present in ESQUIVE® WP), with the participation of institutes, prescribers and distributors. Today, the product's effectiveness in the vineyard has been verified in treated plots.
From the 2017/2018 campaign onwards, the decision has been made to continue developing the product through Agrauxine's network of wood-disease experts, who will market it to ESQUIVE® WP partner distributors.
This choice was guided by a concern shared by Agrauxine and Bayer: to enable a growing number of winegrowers to use a registered and effective solution against wood diseases in the long term.
