Launch of ROMEO in Italy

April 27, 2018 marked the launch of ROMEO (AMM n°17058) in Italy, where distribution is handled by Sumitomo Chemical Italia.

ROMEO is a preventive biocontrol solution against foliar fungal diseases containing the active substance Cerevisane® (cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae LAS117). For use against powdery mildew, downy mildew and botrytis on vines and vegetables.

ROMEO is a natural defenses stimulator (NDS), whose mode of action consists in anticipating, stimulating and maximizing the plant's natural reaction against the attack of a pathogen. This preventive solution is approved for both conventional and organic farming. It is easy to use, with a low application rate of 0.25 kg/ha, and can be used alone or in combination with other fungicide solutions.

Awarded a prize by the IBMA (International Biocontrol Manufacturer Association) at the Bernard Blum competition in 2016, ROMEO is the culmination of ten years' development by Agrauxine in collaboration with its partners.
