Agrauxine by Lesaffre joins the European Biostimulants Industry Council

EBIC, a key trade association for the Biostimulants sector

The European Biostimulants Industry Council (EBIC) gathers nowadays the main actors of the biostimulants sector and plays an active part to foster the role of the biostimulants in helping farmers to grow adequate quantities of high quality crops profitably while using resources wisely.

Among other things, EBIC actively contributed to the establishment of the new EU Fertilising Products Regulation n°2019/1009, in force since July 2022, that provides a clear definition of biostimulants linked to their function(s) and allows plant biostimulants to access the EU market in a way that fosters innovation.

By joining EBIC, our objective will be to leverage our microbial expertise and Lesaffre’s 170 years of experience in fermentation to foster the recognition of these type of biostimulants on the European market. With our market presence in 43 countries with more than 10 years of expertise, our membership will reinforce our willingness to seize the opportunity to become a key biostimulant market player.
