Agrauxine Experts – Micaela CARENZO

Could you tell us more about your role and daily missions at Agrauxine by Lesaffre?

My role consists of registering Agrauxine by Lesaffre products in the different LATAM countries, with the aim of obtaining their authorization and the possibility of accessing the market.

I am mainly in charge of understanding the legislation of each country in order to comply with the registration requirements and submit the products’ technical dossiers to comply with the requests.

At the same time, I perform the maintenance of the registries and oversee the possible updates that the current regulations may undergo.

What are the main opportunities & challenges for your LATAM region?

The main opportunities are presented by our customers in each country, which in many cases are responsible from the preparation and submission of the registration to the marketing and distribution of the products.

The challenges are related to the different regulations of the LATAM countries and their governmental authorities. Although similarities can be found in certain forms and requirements, each country has its own particularities in their approach and evaluation.

Can you tell us more about regulatory affairs in LATAM?

In the LATAM region, there are countries that are highly regulated whereas others do not require registration and have direct access to market. Therefore, there is no harmonization in the region, which means that adapting to each country’s particular situation is a must.

Do you have in mind a contribution you are particularly proud of since you work at Agrauxine by Lesaffre?

I am very happy to be part of Agrauxine by Lesaffre and to be able to contribute with my experience to the LATAM region. I am proud to have achieved a lot of approvals, and I hope to achieve many more.

Exploring and incorporating new territories into the region has also been a tremendous learning experience that I am equally proud of.
