Interview of Bénédicte Bonnet, Seed Treatment Market Manager and APAC Business Developer at Agrauxine by Lesaffre, who joined the company in 2020.
My work at Agrauxine is divided into two main responsibilities.
As a Market Manager for the seed treatment sector, I’m responsible for defining and implementing the marketing and sales strategy to effectively position our biosolutions in this market. This involves close collaboration with R&D teams to develop innovative projects that meet market needs, as well as regular interactions with our external partners to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
In parallel, I oversee the development of our biosolutions in the Asian market, where I work closely collaboration with central teams, especially Supply Chain, Operations and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize our distribution network in the region. My role is to bridge the gap between our strategic objectives and the specific expectations of our local customers.
On a personal level, this year has been an extraordinary experience. I had the privilege of living authentic moments, such as plowing the soil with a mule to plant barley in Lake Titicaca, exploring vanilla cultivation in Polynesia, harvesting wild berries in Alaska, exchanging with rice farmers in Vietnam, crossing New Zealand’s South Island on foot, or trekking in the Himalaya… These experiences allowed me to take a step back, reflect on my priorities, and recharge before resuming my professional journey. This project satisfied my curiosity, my thirst of learning as well as my need to push my limits.
This journey strengthened my adaptability and deepened my understanding of cultural dynamics. Observing the daily life of diverse communities sharpened my ability to interact effectively in varied contexts. This journey was approached as a project, with a budget, timeline, and administrative challenges, all while leaving room for the unexpected. This year of life has given me a better understanding of global challenges, particularly in the agricultural and environmental fields.
I returned with enthusiasm, ready to take on new professional challenges. Enriched by this openness and these experiences, I’m excited to further develop my skills in business strategy and contribute to the development of Agrauxine products in a new market segment.
After the acquisition of another company, I was tasked, along with a R&D colleague, with analyzing the product portfolio from both a technical and strategic marketing perspective. This work greatly interested me and allowed me to step back and redefine the strategy for the product range I was responsible for.
