VIE experience feedback in Argentina for Agrauxine by Lesaffre

Interview of Marion Lesne who has just finished a V.I.E. assignment in Argentina as Technical Support Engineer for Agrauxine by Lesaffre.

You’ve finished a V.I.E assignment for Agrauxine by Lesaffre in Argentina. Can you tell us more about your experience?

Marion Lesne: I am an agricultural engineer and my V.I.E. assignement in Argentina for Agrauxine by Lesaffre started in March 2023 as Technical Support Engineer in the LATAM region.

My role as Technical Support Engineer was to assist and win the loyalty of clients whether by helping them better understand the technical aspects of our products, assisting them in the set up of technical action plans, supporting them when they identified new markets presenting interesting potential for our products or sharing with them our knowledge regarding agricultural trends on the market.

On a day to day basis, it meant communicating with the technical and/or commercial teams of our clients in Argentina but also working with a lot of data to be able to answer any specific question they might have.

I was also in regular contact with Agrauxine’s teams based in France, be it Marketing, Technical Development or R&D, especially for project management. My role enabled the team to get more field information from 11 000kms away!

What main challenges did you face during your V.I.E.? What are you most proud of and how do you think this international experience will help you in your future career?

This V.I.E. has been an experience full of learnings and discoveries.

I’m proud to have contributed to building a trustful relationship with the clients, applying the “Built on Trust” mantra of Agrauxine by Lesaffre and proving that together we learn more and go further and faster.

My experience in Argentina also helped me sharpen my understanding of the complexity of international markets. Whether this complexity lies in the cultural differences or in the ever-changing local regulations within the countries, there is a hard work to carry on to succeed in these markets.

I come out of this experience with more curiosity towards the various meanings the word “agriculture” can have across the globe.
