Smartfoil: secure your yields in the face of drought

At a time when more than 70 départements are subject to water restrictions, a new wave of heatwaves hit France at the end of July, exacerbating the drought already affecting the country and many farmers. Many crops are facing considerable yield reductions, due in particular to the first wave of heatwaves, which occurred at flowering time and led to flower abortion.

Biostimulation, an asset for limiting yield loss

In order to cope with the vagaries of the weather, the application of a biostimulant enables farmers to limit yield loss. In fact, these products (formulated with inert substances and/or micro-organisms) can impact various components by stimulating the plant's internal metabolism, increasing yield quality and quantity, and limiting the impact of abiotic stress (high temperatures, drought).

Smartfoil, a solution to be applied at flowering time

Smartfoil is a biostimulant based on yeast fermentation metabolites that helps secure yields. Applied at a dose of 2L/ha at flowering on rapeseed, soybean and other protein crops, it limits the impact of abiotic stresses during this critical, key period in yield development. Its application generates several responses at the genomic, metabolic and cellular levels, in order to maintain cell turgor and promote photosynthetic activity, thus limiting flower abortion and ensuring yield for the farmer.

Smartfoil's ease of use means it can be applied alone or mixed with other products in the tank. In France, it secures an average of 2.1 qx/ha on rapeseed.
